So yes the Kaval came in good working order as far as I could tell. I have already known how to play a Kaval from constructing my own from PVC pipe from online instructions but I wanted to order one professionally made. It turned out to be quite a lot nicer than I could have made on my own. The lowest and highest registers have proven the most challenging, however, I have been practicing a few minutes here and there when I have had a chance. As a Dad of a large family with young children I was looking for a hobby that I could do that would work for the short and random moments that I could find to work on it. So I am very excited for the range and ability of the Kaval instrument that I can unlock with practice over time. I have already been considering purchasing one of the mid or pro tier models. These are beautiful instruments and I really hope Zhivko continues sharing this with us for the years to come!
