I don't have a kaval, where can i find one?

If you don’t have a Kaval you can easily get one from the STORE

What are the packages above and how am I going to be charged

The packages above are different options to get individual lessons. You will be charged upfront which means you would have to pay the whole amount before arranging the lessons. As soon as the payment is received you will be able to arrange your lessons. After purchasing one of the plans you will receive an e-mail containing instructions. Follow them, arrange your lesson and enjoy!

How long is the trial lesson?

The trial lesson lasts 15–20 minutes. Its purpose is to meet with me online and give you a clear sense of how the regular lessons work, so you know exactly what to expect before choosing one of the packages.

What happens after I place an order?

After you place an order, you will receive an email. This email will include instructions and a booking link that allows you to schedule your lessons at a time that works for you.

If you experience any difficulties, feel free to contact me at info@zhivkovasilev.com or use the contact form on the Contact page.

If you don’t receive the email within 24 hours, please check the spam folder of the email address used during checkout.

How flexible are the lesson times and scheduling options?

Lesson scheduling is completely flexible. You can book your sessions at any time that suits you using the booking link you’ll receive after purchase. There’s no deadline or expiration - your lessons remain available even if you don’t schedule anything for months. Simply choose a convenient time whenever you’re ready, and the system will handle the rest.

What's in the PDF Handbook?

The PDF handbook contains basic information about the kaval and it can help you get started. In the handbook you will find information such as how to make sound, how to properly maintain your kaval, how to breathe properly when playing the kaval. There’s also basic information about Bulgarian folk music and ornamentation.

What equipment do I need for the lessons?

You only need a computer with a camera and a stable internet connection. No special musical equipment is required - the setup on your side can be very simple.

On my end, I use professional audio and video gear to ensure the lessons are clear, detailed, and enjoyable. This includes:

  • RME Babyface audio interface
  • AKG C414 studio microphone
  • Professional studio lighting
  • Insta360 high‑quality webcam

This setup allows you to hear and see everything with excellent clarity, even if you're joining from a basic device.
